Document Control & Numbering

Controlled-document register and numbering scheme for the Rocket Fast Drones flight-operations documentation set. All documents are version-controlled in the company git repository and this wiki.

RFD-<TYPE>-<NNN>

  • RFD — Rocket Fast Drones Pty Ltd (ABN 78 699 460 270).
  • TYPE — document class:
Code Class
OM Operations Manual
TM Training Manual
QRH Quick-Reference Handbook / checklist card
TR Technical Reference / configuration note
FTL Flight-Test Log
SB Service Bulletin (fleet airworthiness notice)
  • NNN — three-digit sequential number within the class (001, 002, …).

Each controlled document carries: its number, a version (vMAJOR.MINOR), an owner/approver, a status, and an in-document revision log. Individual wiki pages are chapters of a controlled document — the document number and version apply to the manual as a whole.

  • Version vMAJOR.MINOR — MINOR increments on content edits; MAJOR increments on release / major restructure. Draft manuals sit at v0.x until first release at v1.0.
  • StatusDRAFT (under construction, not for operational use) → RELEASED (approved for use) → SUPERSEDED (replaced; retained for history).
  • Every page footer states UNCONTROLLED WHEN PRINTED — the controlled version is the one in the RFD document system / this wiki.

The Owner/Approver (below) approves all changes and status transitions. Substantive edits are made on the git develop branch, recorded in the document’s revision log, and take effect on the next wiki sync.

A Service Bulletin (SB) is how RFD notifies owners of a required inspection, modification, or restriction on aircraft already delivered — distinct from routine manual revisions. SBs are issued by email to registered owners and recorded here. Compliance with a mandatory SB is a condition of continued airworthiness support. On receiving an SB: confirm whether your serial numbers are affected, comply within the stated deadline, and record the action in your maintenance log.
